CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT

Following BMZ Acquisition: Marco Klimmt Appointed as New CEO of Nox Cycles

Carsten Sommer (l.) und Marco Klimmt (r.)

Together with the BMZ Group into the future.

In September, the BMZ Group, a global manufacturer of lithium-ion battery systems, acquired the E-Bike manufacturer Nox Cycles. The couple Carsten and Gaby Sommer, founders and previous owners of NOX, built the company in the Austrian Zillertal and made it a key player in the E-Bike industry. Our visionary Carsten Sommer is now leaving Nox Cycles after an incredibly successful journey. Under his leadership, NOX developed numerous innovative products in a short time, conquered international markets, and established itself as a specialist in E-Mountainbikes. The management of Nox Cycles is now taken over by Marco Klimmt, an experienced industry expert who, among other things, spent many years at Brose Fahrzeugtechnik and is currently leading the E-Bike Business Unit at the German headquarters of the BMZ Group.

"After an incredible journey with Nox Cycles, I have made the difficult decision to pass on my 'baby' and leave the company. It has been a privilege to work with such a passionate team and witness the transformation of the company over the years. I am proud of what we have achieved together and would like to thank all the employees for their tireless dedication and loyalty to me and the company. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our business partners, who have supported us and remained loyal throughout the years. The success story of Nox Cycles now enters the next chapter with a new shareholder and a new management team!"

Carsten Sommer
